Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the maximum weight that a screw pile can support?

During installation, the weight-bearing capacity of each helical pile is assessed, and this is contingent upon the soil type. It’s important to acknowledge that the denser the soil, the greater the bearing capacity of the screw pile, whether in compression or tension. The confirmation of this capacity adheres to well-established quality standards throughout the installation process. Screw Pile PH conducts pile load tests to validate the capacity, although there is a general rule of thumb for the load capacity of each type of screw pile.

What is the lifespan of a screw pile?

Under ordinary circumstances, it is generally expected that a helical pile will have a lifespan of 75 years or more. The duration can be subject to variations based on soil characteristics, including pH, moisture levels, and the presence or absence of chlorides. Engineers are mandated by code to compute a minimum life expectancy of 50 years, yet these piles frequently
surpass this benchmark and demonstrate longevity well beyond that period.

Do you measure torque during installation?

Currently, we do not use a torque measurement system. However, our experienced installation team ensures quality and accuracy by following strict installation procedures and verifying pile performance based on ground conditions and project requirements.

Do you have the capability to construct whole building?

Certainly! We have finished the construction of multiple buildings.

Is it possible to install a screw pile beneath a structure that already exists?

Yes! When it comes to installing helical piles, it’s crucial to place them near the structure that requires support. If there’s a need to install helical piles within the confines of an existing structure, it’s essential to ensure proper access for installation.

Do you conduct tests on your screw pile?

Yes. We perform compression tests to validate the load-bearing capacity and effectiveness of our

Do you offer Structural Engineering services?

Certainly. We have a team specializing in structural engineering that can handle the design of piles for substructures and perform analyses for superstructures
